Hey everyone, this is Carrie. You're about to hear an interview with a former

Scientologist. He is also a former church staff member. His name is Trevor

Heasley. Before you hear that, we need to do a little housekeeping. So Trevor

makes a number of claims in this interview about his treatment while he was

working at the Scientology Valley org and we could verify some but not all of

those claims. So we reached out to the Church of Scientology. We sent them a

list of the most important claims Trevor makes here and they claim that Trevor

makes false statements in this interview. We'll give you their entire response at

the end of this episode. We should also note that Trevor uses some language

here that's imperfect. He uses some legal terms like assault and he's using them

in a colloquial fashion. So please note that his descriptions of these

alleged events, those descriptions are more important than the imperfect terms
