Happy New Year to you. Your need was Rosh Hashanah a good break for you? I don't really know

what you do for Rosh Hashanah in Israel here. It's all synagogue and apple and honey and lunch with

relatives. Are you on the beach? What happens? On the beach we do are the same

family gatherings, synagogues, you know, we're the same tribe of people. I think there is a major

difference though that we will get to in a minute because you were, I can tell our listeners.

You were mocking my present buying tradition.

I was slightly horrified.

You sent me a picture, and it looked like a sort of English household on December

the 24th, where you had arranged a series of boxes.

There was no tree.

I'll give you that.

There wasn't a sort of tinsel tree. But presence on Rosh Hashanah,

that is heresy and blasphemy and much else. So I disagree. I'm going to disagree. We give

presents. We, I mean Israelis, not we Jews, obviously, give out presents on Rosh Hashanah.

And on Pesach.

We have family gatherings.

By the way, every workplace in Israel gives out the gift card slash bottle of wine on Rosh Hashanah and Pesach.

These are the occasions.

When do you, I mean, when do you think Jews give out gifts, Jonathan, is Shabbat.
