Well, it's fun to talk to you. I want to reprise your story very briefly just so people can

kind of track, or maybe you can reprise it

briefly and then we can talk about you know because your story relates to the book that we're

going to discuss it does definitely so I came to Christ while writing a book on the religious

right from the perspective of a lesbian feminist activist professor.

And in the process, I had been for about a decade or so in serially monogamous lesbian relationships.

And I was a professor at Syracuse University in English and queer theory and feminist studies.

And in the process of trying to figure out basically why people like you hated people like me,

it was a very simple question. My tenure book was written so I could do this.

I met a wonderful neighbor and pastor, Ken Smith and his wife, Floyd,

and they shared the gospel with me, the real gospel with me, not the one that's bandied about
