0:00.0	Hey everybody. It's just Pasha this morning. Sufi is away. He's off because of the Olympics. And NBC has the Olympics. And so he always gets some time every couple years. And he's doing some traveling, doing a little bit of work. And then he's going to go on a family trip that I'm sure we will hear about upon his return.
0:25.9	So I just wrote some things down to talk about because I got to fill a little bit of time here.
0:31.0	But the Olympics, I will say, I'm a huge fan of the Olympics.
0:36.2	When the opening ceremonies were on, I was bummed because I had plans that Friday night.
0:42.3	And then I was at home and I realized that they were on at 11 in the morning. And man, oh man, I just, that whole day was gone for me because I started watching the opening ceremonies and I couldn't stop.
0:56.5	I think you might know this about me. I'm a pretty emotional person when it comes to performance and art.
1:04.4	And I cried no fewer than five times at those opening ceremonies.
1:09.6	If you haven't seen them and if that's the
1:12.4	kind of thing you're into, I highly recommend them. There's also some good things to chuckle
1:19.4	at. It wasn't 100% things that were going to make me cry. But it's been great and I just love the Olympics in general.
1:29.8	I just shot an episode from my other California Now podcast where we went up to Mammoth and
1:36.5	we did a day on the mountain and we did an afternoon at the cross-country ski facility out there,
1:42.3	the Tamarack Cross-country ski center.
1:46.2	And I was sort of my guide was this ultra-marathoner, this gal, Olivia Amber, she runs for the
1:54.1	North Face, and she was talking to me about Jesse Diggins, and I find that storyline fascinating.
2:00.7	I also was pretty good at cross-country skiing,
2:03.3	I will say. But at one point, we were getting a shot and I told sort of my guide, Olivia,
2:11.0	I was like, why don't you go first and you go as fast as you can and I'll just come after you
2:16.9	and then that'll give a sense of
2:19.0	how much better you are and I I can't even describe how fast she was so far
2:29.0	ahead of me and to a point where our director said well can we do that again but
2:33.9	Olivia you kind of looked like a jerk because you didn't wait for Josh, but it was all on me.
