Well, if I had a wish today, I would wish that everybody in this audience enjoyed the final round of the Masters as much as I did on Sunday with a large

gathering of friends at a friend's house. We watched, we had events all weekend long. We're

sort of golf nerds that way. And I know this is a big, diverse audience with a lot of different

interests that we are all connected together because we love sports and we love America. And we're

patriots and we're largely conservative.

But if you will allow your humble host today to spend just a couple of extra moments talking about one of his favorite things, it is the Masters, especially when the Masters delivers.

And almost every year it delivers, but this year was, well, it was won for the ages.

There is no question about it.

Rory McElroy wins the Career Grand Slam, which in golf means you've won each of the four

major tournaments, not in succession, but over your career.

It's a career grand slam, and he becomes only the sixth golfer in the history of golf to accomplish

this.

So Rory McElroy, just shy of 36 years of age, gets it done

after 11 years without winning a major. Rory won four very quickly as a young man in his early

20s. He has gone 11 years as one of the true stars of the game, but never gotten another major.

In fact, Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson had each won majors since Rory McElroy, and the only one was missing was the

Masters. He has the perfect game for Augusta National. He has had many opportunities to win.

Largely, 11 years ago, he fell apart on the 10th hole on the back 9 with a big lead.

That happens at the Masters.

He blew the lead twice on Sunday.
