Summary
This Monday episode begins with a Sunday night sports update not presented by a bank and not planned at all! There are some deep thoughts on Bullet, and bullet, before Andy and Brendan get to the CJ Plaque winner Rory McIlroy. They discuss Rory’s return to the top spot in the OWGR (but not the FEC) and the meaning that takes on 10 years after he first did it. They discuss both Rory and Lydia Ko getting emotional after their wins and after a decade of doing just about everything on their respective tours. Steven Alker’s continued dominance on the Champs Tour leads to the creation of the “Alker Test” idea. There’s also a chat on yet another Japanese No. 1 amateur and his win in a strong pro event this weekend. News closes with Majed Al Sorour releasing a statement on his New Yorker comments that LIV would create its own majors.

| 0:00.0 | Now the shotgun's starting golf is full of mathematics, there's a lot of a lot of setup work that we have to do in order to make a tournament work, so I'm going to demonstrate to you just exactly how we do a shotgun start here. |
| 0:14.0 | And here we go. |
| 0:17.0 | All right, all right, all right. |
| 0:21.0 | Determine! |
| 0:24.0 | Start your engine! |
| 0:29.0 | Greetings and welcome to a Monday edition of the shotgun start. It is October 24th. Andy, how are we doing? |
| 0:44.0 | Brendan, I'm doing great. I wanted to be the first person to wish you a happy, national tight ends day. |
| 0:51.0 | I don't know if you've been tuned into the football coverage, but today is a national tight ends day and I didn't want you to miss it. |
| 0:58.0 | Oh, really? Why'd they pick a Sunday? Is NFL need more gimmicks for more publicity? |
| 1:04.0 | It's the last league company that needs more juice, right? That's what you do when you're thirsty and you need a reason to promote, I don't know, tacos, fruit at work, stuff like these random things, but I don't think the NFL I suppose we can appreciate tight ends more than they're appreciated. |
| 1:26.0 | But what a weird, terrible thing. I've been trying to avoid the NFL. The Browns were on here locally. |
| 1:32.0 | Did you watch? Nope, didn't even tune in because I didn't have conflicts. I had a late soccer game and I just avoided it. |
| 1:41.0 | I couldn't watch the whole game on my TV. Just didn't even, didn't even try. Why'd you avoid it? |
| 1:47.0 | Because they're terrible. They're frustrating. This one of those unlikable Browns teams. That's saying something by Brown standards. |
| 1:52.0 | They're just frustrating and unlikable terms. |
| 1:55.0 | Tell these mistakes for set's been all right. They're just really just not a fun experience watching Browns games this year. |
| 2:03.0 | And that's before we get to shine lots and back. So what, what do you have to do? Wait till Monday night. |
| 2:09.0 | How are the Bears and Broncos? I feel like every time there's a national TV game, it's either the Bears or the Broncos. |
| 2:18.0 | Somehow, this unbelievable run for the first two months, the Bears have done what they've done Monday night, Sunday night, Thursday night, all in like the last three or four weeks. |
| 2:29.0 | I don't understand it. I mean, nobody thought this team was going to be good. |
| 2:36.0 | And it kind of puts fields in a bad spot because that's like all they want to talk about, right? Because it's a national TV game. |
| 2:42.0 | I watched like the post game after the commander's game. And all they did was talk about fields, right? Because like, |
