Summary

(Jonah 4:1-11) God was at work in the gourd! Through a simple object lesson the Lord was teaching Jonah (and us) what truly matters. Here are five truths we must be remember if we want to think and feel as God does.

0:40.4	That's what Jonah did.
0:41.7	You remember that plant, that gourd that God calls to grow up?
0:45.1	And the moment it was gone, he started grumbling and complaining again.
0:48.8	Why?
0:49.1	Because he had his priorities all wrong.
0:53.2	We've identified several of the root causes for Jonah's anger and roots of anger in our own life.

1:01.9	See, God was working in this gourd.
1:04.9	God was working in the worm that consumed the gourd.
1:08.0	God was working in the vehement east wind.
1:10.8	God was working in it all to work in Jonah.
1:15.3	Jonah chapter 4 verse 1 says that Jonah was very angry. Verse 4 then said the Lord, doest thou well to be angry.
1:23.2	Verse 9, God said to Jonah, doest thou well to be angry for the gourd, and he said, I do well to be angry even unto death.
1:30.2	You see how he began by being angry over what God had done in Nineveh, and he ends being angry over the least little thing.
