This week's show is titled Rookie Vives Check, Good or Bad.

We have a small sample size of two games for a handful of rookies that we've had either high, middle of the road, or low expectations for,

and I want to simply do a quick vibe check. Are they passing a test, failing it up to this point? Before I get to this week's show, a quick heads up that I will not be releasing a free episode next week. I will be on vacation. I've had this plan for half a year now. Just happen to fall within the NFL season. It's only the first or second time ever over a 10-year spammer.

I have not published weekly episode.

Based on scheduling, though, I had to take my vacation during this time.

So it is what it is, and I'll be back with more content before you know it.

Let's get to the rookie vibes check, good or bad.

Up first is Matthew Golden, who I'm seeing bad vibes from so far. Week 1 versus Troy, two catches,

16 yards across two targets, 48% of snaps. Week 2 versus Washington was only two targets,

no catches, two rushes for 15 yards. Good to see, though, a 59% snap share increased from

week one. Golden in that contest against Washington did miss out and what could

have been two touchdowns. One was underthrown for Jordan Love and another that could have been a 90-plus

yard touchdown that was overthrown. So it's not all Golden's fault from accuracy or even effectiveness.

What is the issue is that the production and usage is a letdown after being a 23rd overall pick with solid but not spectacular supporting cast members, whether it's Romeo Dobbs, Natavion Wix, Jaden Reed.

Speaking of Jaden Reed, this could be opportunity knocking for Golden to change this vibe to positive or good.

Reed is sidelined six to eight weeks with a broken

collarbone and left foot Jones fracture, both of which she went under surgery for to

knock them both out at once. This is Matthew Golden's time to step it up with Reed

out of the picture for a month, possibly two months. There are other factors like Tucker

Kraft, Josh Jacobs stealing ample volume. However,
