I am Liz Loza and I am very pleased to welcome our Yahoo Sports NFL draft expert, Mr. Eric at home.

Yeah, doesn't even feel like a year's past.

Feels like 10 years have passed since our last one in the 2020 draft.

Things have changed quite a bit in both of our lives, but all of our lives.

But no, this is exciting.

I like this, and I thought it was a great idea you came up with last year.

More than happy to run it back.

Well, thank you. And you who have been covering college sports and our NFL draft prospects have had quite a

different year.

Do you want to talk about that before we get into the meat and potatoes of the podcast, actually,

and explain how in ways that you had not even anticipated 2020 was different in how it's posed particular challenges

in the scouting process this year? Yeah, I mean, just starting with the, you know,

the cancellation of games, obviously, certainly, you know, hurt several prospects, eliminated seasons

for a lot of guys even, but, you delayed seasons shortened seasons you know it was it was

really tricky from a tape evaluation standpoint because a lot of times we're looking at 2019

tape and putting more weight on that than we normally would and you know just talking to scouts you

know there were guys who said i can't go to the team's facilities i can't do the legwork i

normally do uh i can't do the background checks i normally do i you know i go to games and i sit

home and watch tape you know so i sort of you know felt their pain and understood their struggle
