Well, Donald Trump is no Ronald Reagan, but wait a minute. There's this one thing.

And gentlemen, I was surprised and delighted to read a story in the New York Times under the headline,

Trump orders have stripped nearly half a million

federal workers of union rights. Now, of course, Stephen Green, I was not delighted that people

are losing their rights, but union rights is the way it's expressed in the New York Times.

There are some 445,000 federal employees who, as a result of an order that President Trump signed

in March that went into effect in August are no longer being treated as if they were part of a union.

Essentially, the president said that these people are engaged in work that's

relative or relevant to national defense and the President has the authority to basically

say the union contracts can be ignored. Now, Steve, I'm sure there are more details to this than the New York Times is letting on and less pain than is implied in this.

But the order was supposed to apply to about a million federal workers.

So far, 445,000 have come under the rubric of this.

There was a very famous incident during the Reagan administration that has made President Reagan legendary when it comes to this.

And I'm sure you're acquainted with it, even though you're way too young to have known about

it.

But this is a striking example of President Trump, I think, doing something that nobody would have seen coming just a few years

ago. Even during his first administration, he did not take this approach to unionize government

workers. Yes. So these are federal workers, government workers who are who are, this is why, hang on, let

me check.
