Summary
More often than not, parents encourage their children in school by telling them that A is the ideal grade, and give them the wrong impression that not getting it means they failed. This approach affects a child later in life, and it manifests by not having the courage to try different things if they don’t feel the result will be 100% successful.
Listen to Episode 15 of Rejuvenaging to learn how all kinds of activities can only be achieved when you try and how waiting for an A to occur, limits your potential for success.
In this episode, you will learn:
- The difference between a fixed and a growth mindset. (03:57)
- How growing up with the notion that not getting an A means failure, affects a child’s adult life. (04:58)
- The either/or thinkers. (07:52)
