Hurricane Milton is kind of a dorky name for a hurricane.

It doesn't exactly strike fear in the heart,

but there is nothing funny about this now Category 5 storm heading for Florida and expected to absolutely wreak havoc in the Tampa area.

And remember, it wasn't very long ago

that Hurricane Helene made landfall in Florida,

then headed inland,

where it wound up devastating a whole number of states,

particularly North Carolina and Tennessee, but

Florida bore the initial brunt. We just seem to be in an era of extreme weather, and this is

late in the season. Usually the hurricanes are over by now. But that brings me to story number one.

I can't tell you how disappointed I am in Ron DeSantis.
