It's still March, but you can say that it is a special day, a holy day, if you're a big sports fan, because it is opening day.

And I don't care where you are or what you're doing.

If you're a sports fan and if you're a real sports fan, you're a baseball fan.

Opening day conjures up just good feelings. It always did. You know, I used to love when I was

a kid and I heard the when I was getting ready for school and it was cold as kid and I heard the, when I was getting ready for school,

and it was cold as heck, and I heard the spring training scores on WNAWAM,

which my mom listened to while we were getting ready for school.

And Chip Sepola did the sports, and he'd say, in the Grapefruit League,

and I'd be like, ah, baseball is right around the corner.

And now, today it's here.

Tonight, unfortunately on Netflix, but that's the greed of sports.

You know, it's as greedy as can possibly be.

It's big business now.

But there's a lot going on.

There's optimism for the Mets, optimism for the Yankees as always.

And we get a chance to chat about the Mets, optimism for the Yankees as always, and we get a chance to chat about the Mets with

one of the real staples of broadcasting in New York and obviously of the Mets, and that's, of course,

Ron Dalling, who is beginning his 21st year with Keith and Gary in the best booth in baseball, not even close.

And 21 years, listen, Dog and I did 20 years together.

If you did 21 years with guys, you're doing very well.
