Bournemouth played Everton. It was Fulham against Manchester City and Newcastle took on spurs.

Here is how the evening unfolded.

a point to bolster Tottenham spirits.

And it's Thomas Frank's captain who has earned it for them.

A double for Christian Romero after Spurs had twice fallen behind.

The second goal, a spectacular overhead kick, even though it came off his shin and Joe Alinton is

letting his anger and frustration show and Romero has to be taken away to enjoy the pleasure

of his two goals his first double for Tottenham and to revel in the fact that they've ended all the talk

of discord in the last few days by getting a big point, which means that they and Newcastle

still cannot be separated. Bruno Gimerice, the Newcastle captain, came on to score and put them

ahead in the second half after Romero had headed in Spurs first.

Newcastle went ahead again with a controversial penalty awarded against Rodrigo Benton Kerr in tussling Dan Byrne to the ground.

Anthony Gordon scored it but that was not to be the final act because Bruno Gimerice to his

disappointment saw the skipper on the opposite side have the final say with that

overhead kick and it finishes Newcastle two Tottenham two all square then at the

final whistle it was a team with a very good home record against a team who've had a very good away record so far this season and they could not be separated at St James's park you might think a four-gold thriller was the highlight of the evening but it was four five at Craven cottage Manchester City were five one up in that game. Fullham almost did it. They had chances right at the end to level or perhaps even go one better. Everton got a one-nill win at Bournemouth. Really good way for them to bounce back to a bad defeat with the weekend. Jack Grealish got the goal for them. Six games to come on Wednesday night.

Unlike it's going to be as many goals,

but we've got our fingers crossed for it.
