Summary

In this episode of The Nikki & Brie Show, the twins are embracing a new mindset: January isn’t just about hitting the ground running, it’s about slowing down, resetting with intention, and romanticizing rest. From soup season and puzzle nights to moon gazing and winter mood lighting, Nikki and Brie are leaning into the quiet magic of early 2026. Nikki reflects on rising from personal lows to high-vibe confidence and shares a message of hope for anyone feeling stuck: the journey is never over! Brie is slowing time with Bryan and the kids, and explains why she’s letting nature lead the way into this year. The twins also take a hilarious look at what’s in and out for 2026—think: clear boundaries, digital detoxes, romanticizing rest and quiet wins are IN, while hustle culture, comparison traps, and all-or-nothing diets are OUT. They both agree: there’s no rush to bloom in January. Press play and slow down with us.

Hey everyone, welcome back to the Nikki and Bree show. And well, hello, Nikki. What up,

0:12.4

Bree. In our last episode, we talked a lot, a little Tay. You guys will hear Tayo in the

0:18.0

background at times. In our last episode, I really liked how we kind of, we didn't go majorly into it,

0:24.5

but we talked a little bit about what January means.

0:27.5

And kind of we're seeing people looking at January differently.

0:31.3

I feel like even you and I are kind of looking at differently, like not hitting it hard

0:35.1

and, you know, kind of trying to rush this new me but more like people

0:41.0

are taking it a little slower and calmer so I thought it'd be fun to kind of dive into that whole

0:47.0

like new trend I agree with romanticizing just how we romanticize about the holidays, fall, December, Christmas,

0:58.7

Hanukkah, to really kind of have that same mindset for January and February. And I do think

1:06.3

it'll be great to expand on what we touched on a little bit in the last episode because it is true.

1:12.2

I think it's time to change the mindset. I feel like it's been a marketing play for so long

1:18.9

of like January 1st, start taking your diet pills, get on this diet. Diet pills. Well,

1:24.6

meaning like I feel like we get hit with all the things or like sign up for

1:27.9

this gym membership and go hard. And that is like actually not the right way. Well, we've been very

1:34.6

conditioned to think restart means like jumping right into it. Right. But restart doesn't have to happen so

1:42.2

fast. No, it can have a mood board. It can have vibes. It can have an

1:45.7

aesthetic. Right. Like even when I was putting away my Christmas decor and upstairs I have this

1:52.4

gorgeous vase where I have beautiful faux flowers and I did, um, for the holiday time, I put in the hollies. Is it the little berries? Yeah. Holly berries. And I was like, okay, I could take this out, but I go, wait, I still want something that's very winter moody. Like, I don't want to put what was in before. For sure. And then that started to make me think, like, wait, wait i need if i just put out all my decor out

2:19.9

and i don't have a lot of decor to put out but everything is very like bright and spring feels in a way

2:26.3

and i'm like wait no i need the in between of christmas new years to full on springtime. I want that mood in my home.

2:35.4

I want to feel those vibes that still give me winter reset, hibernation.
