0:22.8

make some application, present thought questions for the day, and offer a prayer together.

0:28.5

I'm excited about exploring God's Word with you, so let's get started.

Welcome to our daily Bible devotional study. We're in Romans chapter 4 today. We have a lot of really

0:41.4

great news to discuss, so let's jump right in. Righteousness before God comes through faith in Jesus,

0:48.1

1:24.8

explaining that righteousness is similarly credited to those who trust in God,

1:30.0

the one who raised Jesus from the dead for our justification. Was Abraham obedient? Yes, why he

1:37.1

trusted. He believed. And that's where it all begins. Let's start our benefits section with a quote.

1:43.1

Quote, Abraham believed God and it was credited to him as righteousness.

1:48.8

If we follow in the footsteps of Father Abraham, we too are justified and blessed by our heavenly

1:54.2

father. Unlike other New Testament chapters concerning Abraham, this passage says little about acts of

2:00.4

obedience. The emphasis is on

2:02.7

trust. When God spoke, Abraham believed him. In quote, hope against hope, he trusted in God's

2:10.4

promises. As a result, Abraham glorified God with his life, showing immediate and complete obedience.
