For in Romans chapter one, we're going right through one of the greatest books in the history of the world.

And I have the great honor now of preaching on what is the most despised, hated,

opposed, and attacked text of the entire Bible.

And I'll just prophesy in advance.

This is either going to go really good or really bad.

That's the future. That's where we're going.

And what happens is every time an issue blows up, politically, morally, socially,

that ultimately you and I have one of two options.

Number one, we can just emotionally react and just jump on social media, grab the latest

hashtag and follow the congalind.

The other option is we can, rather than emotionally reacting, we can be mentally reflecting.

We can give a little time for us to look at the evidence, to consider the issues,

the cause, the effect, the problem, the solution, and as Christians ultimately to bring it to the word of God.

And there is very little reflective thinking in our day, and there is very little deep teaching in our day.

And as a result, things are not going well in our day.

A little later in Romans chapter 12, Paul is going to give us a principle that I want us to exercise

together today. He says, do not be conformed to this world.

What he's talking about there is literally a mold.
