0:12.2	Alrighty, we're in the book of Romans. I'm so excited if you've got a Bible go to the book of Romans chapter 12
0:18.2	one of the most amazing books in the history of the world
0:21.2	This is gonna be so fun at least for me and I'm glad you're joining us
0:24.8	Here's the big idea as we enter into Romans chapter 12 Christians are to be rebels with a cause as
0:32.0	Everyone is rebelling against God. We are going to rebel against the world
0:36.3	Well, they take their pants up. We're gonna put our pants on as they're picking up a bottle
0:40.4	We're gonna pick up the Bible as they are picketing and protesting
0:43.5	We're gonna be worshipping and praying amen. We got our own little counterculture. Oh rebellion
0:48.8	Started as God's people and the big idea is this that at some point in your life is an individual married couple family and or church family
0:58.0	We need to decide what kind of people we're gonna become what kind of lives. We're gonna live
1:02.1	What kind of legacies we're gonna leave that's where Paul drives all of his great book of Romans to this point of decision in chapter 12
1:10.8	So let me catch you up to speed the first 11 chapters of Romans are primarily
1:15.4	About our relationship with God our vertical relationship with God. How God loves us seeks us saves us for gives us pursues us
1:23.2	Adores us never leaves us nor for sakes us from chapter 12 through 16 the remainder of the book
1:29.2	There will be in this summer he talks about our horizontal relationship with one another and the point is simply this once you have a relationship with God
1:37.6	You now have an example for all of your relationships and you have the resources for all of your relationships
1:42.8	So God forgives us. So we forgive one another God loves us. So we love one another God pursues us
1:48.7	So we pursue one another God is generous toward us. So we're generous toward one another
1:53.6	The big idea is simply this that the way God treats us is the way that we get to treat one another and set culture as a family and church family
