Welcome to Searchlight, a survey through Scripture with Pastor John Corson.

It is our desire to bring you a systematic study of the entire Bible,

chapter by chapter, book by book.

Here on Searchlight, we are getting very practical.

That is because we are in the midst of a verse-by-verse

study of Romans chapter 12. In the first 11 chapters of Romans, the Apostle Paul has been telling

us of the goodness of God toward us. Now Paul begins to tell us what our response should be to

God's goodness.

On our last program, we left off talking about renewing our minds, and the way we do that

is through God's Word.

But there is a danger that we can face because of how often we approach God's Word.

Let's now join Pastor John for our teaching and learn of this danger.

Now let me say this for you thinkers and students. You can read the Bible every morning

for devotions and not go through a metamorphosis.

Indeed, Paul would say that the letter kills in and of itself.
