Welcome to the Bible Study. I'm Stephen Lawson, President of One Passion Ministries.

And each week I will teach verse by verse through the passage of scripture

so that you can better understand the word of God

and put it into practice in your life. Join me now as we look together into this

section of the Bible.

Yeah, well welcome. Some of you guys are new to the study and we're thrilled that

you're here and we're just studying the word of God together.

So I'm going to open us in a word of prayer

and we're going to hit the ground running, okay?

Let's pray.

Father, as we begin this morning, we begin by anchoring our thoughts to you.

That you are God and there is no other and that you have exalted your throne in the heavens

and your sovereignty rules overall.

So as we begin this day, we acknowledge that you're the king of heaven and earth and we are

your subjects. And we've gathered today to study your word and we want to know what

you have to say to us.

And so I pray that you would open our eyes, open our ears that we'd be able to understand your word

more carefully.

May your Holy Spirit be the true teacher.

And I pray that you would equip us and sharpen us and further mature us in the things of your kingdom.

So we commit ourselves to you this morning and we begin by giving the praise to you that you are the

God who has created us and you have made us for your own purposes and for your own glory.
