section of the Bible. Let me just begin in a word of prayer. Father, as we come now to look into your word,

we pray for the Ministry of the Holy Spirit who is the author of scripture and who is the interpreter

and teacher of scripture that he would be mightily at work in our midst and within our own minds and hearts,

guide us and direct us into your truth.

And may your spirit also bring a challenge and comfort and encouragement and even conviction.

So we pray now that you'll use this time together in your word in a powerful way in our lives.
