All right, we're in Romans 1.

Romans 1, verse 18, and I want to begin just by reading this verse, and this verse is so critically important that this is enough for us to chew on this

morning.

As I said earlier, we'll pick up our pace in two weeks, but I want us to squeeze this lemon and get as much lemon

juice out of it.

For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and

unrighteousness of men who suppress the truth in unrighteousness.

You can no doubt see the stark contrast between the good news of the Gospel in verses 16 and 17 where we've been

camped out the last weeks and now this shocking contrast in verse 18 for the wrath of God is revealed from heaven.

So this

this verse really serves as like the topic sentence or the umbrella term over the entire section

and to reduce it to one word it is condemnation.

Paul will make his case like a prosecuting attorney and bring his indictment against every member of the entire human race.

It begins right here in chapter 1,

and it will extend to chapter 3 and verse 20.

And it is a monumental section that speaks to the wrath of God abiding upon every human being who is outside of Jesus Christ.

And so as Paul is making this case,
