The program was originally broadcast in 1999, and the presenter was Sue Lolly. My castaway this week is an entertainer. Nearly 50 years ago he arrived in this country from Australia

with 300 pounds in his pocket and an ambition to study art. Instead he invented the wobble board, introduced us to the Didery Do, and sang hit songs like

Timy Kangaroo Down Sports, Sun Arise, and Two Little Boys.

The art came in useful too.

He drew cartoons on his highly successful television shows.

Now nearly 70 his career has developed a new lease of life as the presenter of Animal Hospital,

where his love of pets and people makes the show one of the most watched on BBC television.

Popular with each successive generation, he's now a cult figure among students.

He has no plans to retire.

Now he says, what would I do with myself? He's Rolf Harris.

You really have been born again professionally, haven't you, Rolf? It's amazing.

Now the students, you know, what do they say?

Rolfe is cool, there's only one Rolfe.

One Rolfe, Harris. There's only one Rolfe.

But did it take you by surprise when that happened?

Yes, it was quite staggering. I mean,

doing that stairway to heaven recording, I got the greatest sort of unorganized amount of publicity

that I've ever had about anything.

This was a cover version of the Led Zeppelin stairway to Haven.
