I think I remember going to St. Louis one time and having a really bad experience with the chicken.

Somebody had recommended to my father this fried chicken place.

Gussys? I don't know what it is, but it was like the talk of the town, I guess,

this place is fried golden fried chicken. And as a black man, you mentioned fried chicken,

you know, I'm down. Okay. So we go and the chicken looks immaculate. We see it on people's

plates, we're getting excited. We sit down, we ordered the chicken, we bite into it,

and I'm like, why does it taste like this? We found out that they make they fry it in cornmeal.

Yeah, that's not totally unusual. That was extremely unusual. I think it's a Tony.

In a case, it awful. I'm like, why would he recommend this place?

I think it's a southern thing because it doesn't taste like it. It is no seasoning, just corn

meal. Yeah, like that's a, I'm pretty sure that that's a southern thing. There are some southern

states that do that. That is an awful thing. I wonder if it's Hodex because that's supposed to be

known for its fried chicken. I think I've had it once. I don't remember, but there's a place

that's a much better called Gus's, which I don't, it might be a chain, but it's great. Gus's

is really good. But yeah, I was extremely disappointed. That was my experience at St. Louis.

Okay. Well, I'm sorry that happened, you pal. It's fine. It's okay. I've gotten over it since,

I mean, being traumatized like that with bad fried chicken, like, you know, I don't know,

it's pretty traumatizing. Let me tell you. Cause like, how do you mess up fried chicken? It's like

one of the easiest things to make. I'm sure it's very easy to screw up fried chicken. Do you know

the easiest way to do it? Not cook it all the way. Yeah, because it'll kill you. Yeah, I'm sure

that would be bad. But we got to meet the right over cook the chicken and it still be edible.
