Okay, we are alive. Hi, this is William Ramsey. Welcome to William Ramsey Investigates on today's show of a very special guest. His name is Mark A. Carpenter. in kind of the archaeological community. But he knows a lot more than just the Kennewickman,

1:22.0

Sure, sure. Well, what I, my experience in, in the academic, scientific, institutional world is that it's an orthodoxy.

1:33.5

And you're going to get in line with that orthodoxy or your career is going to be sabotaged.

1:39.0

And that's basically how it works in a nutshell.

1:43.0

And I ran headfirst into that when I was studying

1:48.7

archaeology on the Yucatan Peninsula, studying the Maya. Oh, and that's really cool that you,

1:55.4

I had no idea that you were, that you had done something like that. So I'm curious to know what your experience was like.
