from you once.

So it's good to be back, speaking with you 26 years later.

Well, fortunately I'm on excellent terms with my ex-wife, otherwise I would hold that

against you.

Anyways, I will not, she's great.

What I wanted to talk to you about was something that I'm sure not that many people bring up.

You have a big tattoo of Nixon on your back.

You were friends with him in the later years of his life.

I think, and I don't think it's a very controversial thing to say, that Richard Nixon is probably

the most interesting on a personal level of the presence of the 20th century.

Can you describe what your friendship was like when he was basically in the wilderness?

Sure.

I think it's important to note that I worked on his 1968 campaign.

I was the chairman of youth for Nixon in my native home state of Connecticut.

I was the youngest member on the senior staff of his 1972 re-election campaign when I was

in college, actually, left college to take the job.
