I'm Mick Garris and this is a very special edition of the post-mortem

podcast. One of the most important figures in the history of horror films is

Roger Corman. He always worked outside the studio system and was quite a renegade filmmaker as well as discovering

amazing talents who, like Roger, made incredibly consequential contributions to the world of cinema in general, but in particular

to the world of horror cinema.

Just a week or so ago, Beyond Fest and the American Cinematech honored Korman with a full day of his movies

capped off by an hour-long conversation

with the 97-year-old Roger

and five of the graduates of Korman University. John Davison, Joe Dante, Alan Arkish, Amy Holden

Jones, and Ron Howard.

I was honored to be the moderator of this stellar and historic panel, and we're excited to bring this

fascinating conversation to you here on post-mortem. A bit of caution because it was

a live event and seven people were using microphones, some of our sound levels may not be of the best quality.

But after a while, you're never going to notice.
