He was a fighter for his causes and a propagandist.

He was a success and a horror.

He was quintessentially American.

Which we should all do well to remember.

On the show today, I will interview Isaac Chotner,

who's a sharp observer of all things, Al's,

and almost all Al's was awful.

Now, Isaac doesn't mince words nor should he.

But I do think a lot of the commentary

about Al's passing misses the point.

Matt Taibi in Rolling Stone had an article

headline, Roger L's was one of the worst Americans ever.

Really, more than everyone owns slaves,

which is to say most of the people on the money,

or like murderers, might that count as evil?
