Hi, this is Josh Marshall and this is the Josh Marshall Podcast.

We are going to talk about abortion today, not exclusively, but we were reviewing what's

going on in the news before we started the episode.

And as usual, you get like 3, 4, 5 different stories we want to touch on.

And all but one of them, and arguably all of them, turn in some way on this leak a week

or so ago, the Alito Draft majority opinion in an opinion overturning row.

And then you have the reaction to it of some sort, which is this law that would codify

row would actually, I guess, bump it up a bit from the status quo as of, let's say January

2021, because obviously a row has been shipped away at, well, it's been shipped away at

since the 90s, but even more so in these kind of shadow dockety kind of ways over the

last couple years.

In any case, so we're going to talk about that.

This bill, they are, I mean, at this point, it's going to be a test vote because they

don't even have 50 votes and it would be, it's filibustered anyway.

And we'll get into what the strategy is or lack of strategy is beyond that.
