There are loads of misconceptions around cigarette-related litter.

The football rumble, along with Keith Briton, tidy a hair to bust some myths, including

some, that I've only just discovered myself.

Did you know that a cigarette book can take 14 years to break apart for something that

I thought was just a harmless bit of paper?

That is mind-blowing.

I've always thought they would buy a degradable or made out of cotton or something, but

they're not.

In our plastic, that means a cigarette book breaks apart into microplastics, seeping

toxins into the earth that harm nature, contaminate waterways and pollute where we live.

If, like me, you thought they'd get filtered out once they go down the drain, then you'd

be mistaken.

And this is a huge problem facing Briton today, because cigarette buds don't just make

up a tiny handful of worsts that you might expect.

In fact, cigarette buds make up to 66% of all litter.

Now you can see how damaging the problem really is.
