This week on The Treatment, Elvis welcomes filmmaker Roddy Bogawa, co-director of the new documentary Have You Got it Yet? The doc examines the life of Syd Barrett, the erratic-yet-widely-revered founding member of Pink Floyd. Next, The League documentary director Sam Pollard talks about the largely unknown history of the Negro Baseball Leagues. And, for The Treat, The Kingdom of Prep writer Maggie Bullock talks about her favorite fashion writing that goes beyond clothes.

and actually sort of keep everybody on point than Storm, was there? You know, I didn't know Storm, but a friend of mine who was a musician,

was very good friends with his illustrator, and he had come through New York

and basically said, you know, I was just at Storm Thorgeson Studio,

and I said, who's that? It sounds like a Finnish black metal death singer. Yeah.

And he said, oh no, he was part of the company, the design company hypnosis that did record covers.

I said, oh, yeah, of course. I had, you know, Led Zeppelin and Pink Floyd stuff and some of the Black Sabbath things.

And I, you know, as a teenager growing up in L.A., I was obsessed with their cover

designs. So my friend told me, he said, well, yeah, they just did this cover for this band where

they went to Devon and they rented a bulldozer and they dug out steps going down through the

sand. And they just climbed up and took a picture. And I thought, you know, why in the world would they do that?

You know, when they could have done it in five seconds in Photoshop.
