If you'd offered us a point before we set off for Middlesbrough, we would have probably told you to stuff it, but when Marek Rodak got himself sent off less than 20 minutes into only his second league start for the Cottagers, it looked a long way off; and the final whistle at 0-0 was a welcome one.
