Moon Shop program in over 50 years. The uncrued Artemis 1 rocket was supposed to test a new space launch

system before the end of August. But first the regular weather and then

Hurricane Ian got in the way. It's now supposed to go up towards the end of November. Artemis 1

will herald a new era of space exploration where the crude Artemis 2 rockets will put the first woman and the first person of colour on the moon.

This raises questions of why we commit billions of investments on space exploration and tourism, plus all that carbon,

when we could be concentrating on the climate crisis on Earth. But instead of cutting back on space

research during a world economic crisis and the climate disaster, should we in fact double down on it.
