| 1:28.6 | You see, before 1964, broadcasting was completely controlled by the BBC. |
| 1:33.7 | What went on the airwaves was regulated by the government, |
| 1:36.8 | who only begrudgingly played popular music and limited its time on the airwaves. |
| 1:41.9 | But this wasn't enough for the British youth who desperately |
| 1:44.7 | hungered for music from the country's growing pop and rock scene. They wanted the Beatles, |
| 1:49.8 | they wanted the Rolling Stones, they wanted rock and roll, but the BBC wasn't listening. |
| 1:55.5 | So when an Irish businessman named Ronan O'Reilly saw what was happening and realized that |
