I loved your book because it touches on so many of deep topics about mind and

consciousness and intelligence and the nature of the self and you know what and little bit of background of you know how you got interested in this particular topic

and related topics that you wrote about previously in your previous books.

Well this specific topic I got interested in as I was wrapping up my last book Beyond Human, which is about

converging technologies in medicine that are creating all kinds of implants, chips, and they, you know, technology that can be put into the body that works in cons for with the body and and how these can sometimes enhance as well as cure disease.

But I kept running in my research,'t run it across different articles about caregiving robots.

Robots that were taking care of sick people, disabled people, people with dementia,
