That's when Amazon purchased Whole Foods for a mere $13.7 billion.

Whoa. That was the biggest acquisition ever by Amazon.

And since they purchased it, Amazon has been making some changes. They've actually lowered prices,

and they've added a whole bunch of new checkout technology to their over 500 stores throughout the United States. And one big deal is that they've added a bunch of local

brands to the stores too. I did some research about all that. So like, for example, if you're

shopping in Chicago, it's going to be a lot different than if you're shopping in Chicago at a whole

food store. And Amazon is also trying out some new tech too. They have something called the dash card.

It tracks and add things up as you put things into your

shopping cart. And they're working on also licensing their palm print technology. Some of these

Amazon stores let you pay by just using your palm print. So what you do is just wave your palm

over the reader and it charges your Amazon account automatically. I'll tell you one thing. That's super
