Now, Robin's path to addiction was the result of self-medicating severe chronic pain, and the result was a battle that nearly took her life, and it required a long road of struggles before getting sober for good.

Today, Robin has a full life that includes a custom art business and connection with others.

I'm excited to be here. Oh, I'm glad you're here. I'm really glad you're here. You wrote in and offered to share your story. And I'm glad you did because you did not have an easy road. And I think it almost seems that addiction kind of took you by surprise. And I feel like there's people that need to hear a story like yours. So I'm really looking forward to your share today.

Oh, thank you. Okay. So I just get right into it then, right? Yeah. Tell us about yourself.

All right. Then I'll do that. I was raised by happy, healthy, wonderful parents.

I'm the oldest of three girls.

And we lived in the Bible Belt, where it was the tightest in Oklahoma.

Actually, we're about 30 minutes northeast of Tulsa area.

And one summer I'm babysitting.
