your awareness of his very real presence in your life. Well, you think about it. You just have to look

around. We live in a world where it seems everyone and their brother is looking for their five minutes

of fame, even if it's to their own shame. And we see it even in the Christian world. But for what? It makes me think of the Toby Mac song. I don't want to

gain the whole world and lose my soul. Well, my guest today writes this. I had a successful

career as a dancer under my belt. And the next one, as an actress, was taking off. I had fame,

financial security, and everything that was supposed to bring fulfillment, happiness, and

comfort. But I was definitely not comfortable.

I was tormented.

People are chasing their five minutes of fame, thinking it'll bring fulfillment, but it absolutely will not.

But maybe fame's not your thing, but maybe relief is.

And you're turning to counterfeit comforts to numb the pain.

Treat surface symptoms because you really don't want to get at what's buried beneath the surface,

but that thing that's buried beneath the surface is what God wants to speak to, to touch, so he can set you free.
