I'm about ready to run off the golf course Welcome. Welcome back to another edition of the Friday Golf Podcast. I am Andy Johnson and we are

we're here. I was excited. I actually reached out to Roberto Castro last week and that was a day or a couple days before the

announcement and the Wired article that he was involved with the TGL.

I thought Roberto would bring a really interesting perspective on everything going on in golf and I also wanted to hear him and talk about

his foray into the persimmon retro golf club world that he's jumped into in the last couple months. So I was excited Roberto then

obviously being a part of the TGL a lot more stuff to talk about with that. He was instrumental in the formatting of the TGL

figuring out what format they'd play

when they kick things off in January.

So this new enterprise, this new golf league that will be much more, I think it'll be

innovative. It's still golf, which I think anything that is a golf league needs to to be golf

So it will bring some innovation. I'm particularly excited about the golf design aspects and potential for golf design.

I don't know how much they're going to get into that in year one, but assuming there are multiple

years of this venture, I think they could really do some neat stuff with the

golf design component of the the startup and I'm also really excited about the shot clock.

So that's something I think we all want in professional golf.

We want something that moves the pace of the game

along a little bit faster and maybe just maybe this

could be something that that really gets that going so without further ado here's
