Do you feel like when you're doing that show, like, that you're nailing it the way that like I think a lot of your listeners do are the way that I do. No. I see, I find that to be, I think that's so interesting, like a personality right because I'll be'll be honest, I'm really critical of myself and my show, right? |
| 2:03.0 | I think most of the time we do a really good job. And I walk away from a lot of shows being like, man, like I nailed it today. And I'm pretty honest. If not, and like my producer will tell you, I'll call him and be like, we suck today. What can we do better? how is it possible that you don't think you guys are killing it? Because it's so obvious to me that you are. |
| 2:18.8 | I just think there's always a better version of it. There's always something you could do a little bit differently. I think that you watch something and I don't listen to a lot of stuff all the way through now, again, just because of bandwidth issues, but you'll see somebody make a point about something about subject that you were covering. and you're like oh man man, we kind of missed that angle on it. Like, me, there's just so much stuff out there. You always feel compelled to be doing things in a little bit clearer or a little bit more interesting of a way. And so I think that there's just like a consistent need to reach a standard that I don't know. I don't always feel that we do. And I think that's a hard way to move through the world because you're very rarely satisfied with everything that's going on. But I think ultimately it serves the quality of overtime. I want to ask you now, I wasn't going to bring this up, but something you just said in that answer, kind of like, if I'm thinking of like Samurai movie, right, like Act 3, the cost of greatness.
