You know, if my mother was still around today, I know that she'd love to keep the conversations

going with some of today's stars and see how they would answer her questions.

And now, Robert Klein talks to Lucy.

If you were not in the business, what would you like to be doing?

Well, I always wanted to be a doctor from the time I was probably seven, eight years old.

I got to college. I went pre-med. And a few things got in my way.

Calculus, physics, biology, zoology, reading, spelling, comprehension, behavior,

attendance, inclination, and talent. So I major in history of political science. Probably a doctor.

I think it's just great when you save someone's life and maybe you ask them out after it.

You know what I mean?

What is your favorite type of entertainment?

I think, not necessarily in this order, but in movies, the Marx Brothers and Laurel and Hardy

and W.C. Fields and Charlie Chaplin and really funny, funny

movies or television, comedy is my favorite form of entertainment, not necessarily stand-up, but comedy.

On the other hand, I have always loved what we call classical music, and I have had such inspiration from Bach and Handel.

And I just read this huge book about Mozart,

and I can't stop playing him.

And that's more than entertainment.

It's actually, it affects the soul if such, if I'm defining it in,

you know, and it might not be everyone's definition of it, but it's spiritual in its way,

and yet it is entertainment. I think my television, we got a television when I was nine years old

in the Bronx, and I think it's been on ever since.
