Summary
In the midst of a pandemic, sometimes it's good to get some perspective. There are worse things to have. For example, AML. It happens for no known reason, it can kill you in a week, and if it doesn't you're very lucky if you live five more years. I'll take my chances with COVID-19. Robert didn't get the choice, being diagnosed with AML 30 years ago. He's still alive. So you could call him very unlucky, very lucky, or both. Either way, the answer is better medicine. The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society aims for more outcomes like Robert's.
