I thought we could start off with the question of your own definition of human nature that

you present your book because it was a I thought it was a quite a unique definition well my definition is that there are

forces within us we're not aware of in other words there's kind of a stranger within each of us. There are patterns of behavior

that are ingrained in us going back hundreds of thousands of years based on how we evolved as a species. And we're not aware of these forces as they

operate within us. They kind of move us around like ponds on a chessboard.

They sort of control a lot of our behavior if we don't make an effort to become aware of them.
