0:44.0	Well, thank you for having me. My pleasure. Your latest book, like we mentioned, is called The Laws of
0:48.9	Human Nature. How did that come about? Well, I had written a book called Mastery, my fifth book.
0:55.0	And in that book, I'm explaining to the reader how to achieve a high level of creativity and mastery in whatever field you're in.
1:04.0	And I included a chapter in there about social intelligence, about how you could be absolutely brilliant in your field and have
1:12.3	incredible technical knowledge. But if you don't know how to understand people and you don't
1:17.0	know how to get along with people and what motivates them, you will neutralize all of your
1:22.2	potential creative powers or whatever it is, whatever your talents are. So I wanted to immerse you that part
1:28.9	of being a great in your field is also knowing how to deal with people. And as I said, it was a chapter,
1:35.3	and people really responded to the chapter, but they kept writing me and saying, Robert, we want more.
1:40.3	We need more information. And I got a sense of a kind of almost a desperation that people nowadays really, really don't understand some basic principles of psychology.
1:52.1	And we could go into why that might be.
1:54.3	But there was a hunger for knowledge about how to read people, how to decode their behavior, how to see toxic people before you get involved with them,
2:03.6	how to understand envy and other sorts and other negative emotions.
2:08.6	And based on that feedback, I thought I would write the ultimate kind of primer on how to understand not only the behavior of other people,
