Summary

Disgraced multimillionaire and real estate heir Robert Durst is dead.  • How the murderer’s death may keep his victims from finding closure. As someone who confronted my father over the murder of my mother, I have my unique take on this conundrum.  • I also discuss the similarities between Durst's bizarre behavior and my father's. In my opinion, they are both sociopaths. • Authorities believe Durst was behind three killings in three states over four decades, as highlighted in the 2015 HBO documentary series The Jinx: The Life and Deaths of Robert Durst.  • As a filmmaker, I also look at the impact HBO's series had on the conviction of Robert Durst in the trial over the murder of Susan Berman.
