In case you're new to the show, I'm Tim.

I'm Dave.

And I suppose in many ways we're disillusioned Christians.

Certainly disillusioned with the church.

We both had some difficult times in our relationship with the church.

Maybe we're both just disillusioned.

Generally, I'd say, yeah. We're both disillusioned generally i'd say yeah yeah we're both disillusioned introverted

reflective melancholy sort of types and um wrestling with various questions in the faith and so we sort

took it upon ourselves to go on an extended kind of pilgrimage, I suppose, looking for signs of hope

in the wasteland that is Christendom. So today we have driven to Manchester looking for

signs of hope. Manchester, have you been to Manchester before, Tim? Yeah, I have, yeah, a few

times, yeah. When I first started dating Hannah, she did some hair

modelling. Really? Yeah, and one of those occasions took us to Manchester, which I think she quite

enjoyed, because, you know, people gave her nice clothes to wear and did her makeup and made her hair look nice.

Did you enjoy it? I hated every single minute of it. I'd had to hang out with super potential model types.

Just like, I had nothing.

Like, I tried to make conversation.

It was just utterly, every attempt to make conversation failed miserably.

And bottles of beer were like 10 pounds.
