You know, Robert, for the, I first remember coming across Oval Media material during COVID-1984,

you know, 2020, 2021.

And this often happens with me where somehow you and I connected through mutual acquaintances

in the last few years.

And so, you know, it comes full circle and it's really cool to meet the people whose work I've been appreciating for many years.

And so before getting your thoughts on what's happening in the world, real quick, just to learn a bit about you and your work,

if you want to tell us about how you got into filmmaking, all the media.

And effectively, can we say you've become an activist and dissident, yes?

Very good question.

I'm wondering myself.

So it's not easy to read.

I've been a filmmaker for a long time.

I decided to make films professionally when I was still in high school.

I did short fiction films and then documentaries.

And I thought, you know, if you work hard, if you learn a lot, you will make it somehow.

I knew it was competitive, but I liked competition.

But I found out in fact that it's more complicated than this.

The whole field was shrinking.

You know, documentary filmmaking got less and less money each year.

And it was completely dependent on public funding.
