I think that if it hadn't have happened for me, then I'd be doing what you guys are doing

on YouTube because this is totally up my street.

When I've got my most bravado and I'm strutting and I'm, you know, peacocking,

is when I'm the most nervous and the most scared.

you know, journalist, dressed as little green men to wait outside of my house and it was,

people used to try and run me over. I'd get bricks thrown at me, pine pots thrown at me,

and I was a pub goer and pubs became instantly unsafe for me. Why? Because of jealousy,

because of jealousy, you know, young box, Lord of the Flies, I tell you one story I don't think

I've ever told. There was lots of times that I'd had to run for my life.

But here I was in a gay bar in Manchester, the door opened to this different world that was just

absolutely incredible. Fortunately, I didn't get to be a Keith Richards kind of character.

My drug abuse, my alcohol abuse, became very sad, very, very quickly.
