Summary

Rob Cesternino (@RobCesternino) and Akiva Wienerkur (@Keev26) need a podcast and every week, Rob and Akiva spin a wheel of listener-submitted podcast ideas, and whatever the wheel lands on is what they podcast about next. This week, the wheel landed on “Podcast Power Hour” which resulted in Rob and Akiva taking listening to a dozen podcasts, and then letting you know what you missed in the past week of podcasts across the internet. Below is the list of podcasts Rob and Akiva listened to in the episode: Zack To The Future: Mark-Paul Gosselaar who played Zack Morris goes through old episodes of Saved By The Bell for the first time since he taped the show in 80s-90s. He has a cohost who was the one that created Zack Morris is Trash series. Mark-Paul basically complains about the show which makes it really funny. Office Ladies: The Office (the actresses that played Pam and Angela) Imagined Life: Biography of a famous person (with a twist) Urgent Care: Advice Podcast Why Won't You Date Me? with Nicole Byer: Stand-up comedian Nicole Byer (host of Netflix's Nailed It and now Wipeout with Jon Cena) is smart, funny, beautiful but also somehow perpetually single. Each week Nicole talks with a guest - usually another comedian - about sex, dating, relationships in an honest (and often graphic) way while Nicole tries to figure out how she's still single. Who Weekly: Pop culture Frenemies: YouTube/TikTok things going on The Daily: NYT's Daily Podcast Dr. Gameshow: Two comics - Jo Firestone and Manolo Moreno - host this podcast where they play ridiculous games submitted by fans with callers (currently recorded over Zoom). It's very silly, weird, and family-friendly. The Unmade Podcast: The premise of the podcast is 2 guys discussing podcast ideas that they'll never end up making. This is a perfect corollary to RAANAP. You may even get an idea or 2. Beyond that, these are experienced and entertaining podcasters with banter that often runs far from the initial premise. Killer Role: New podcast from NBC Dateline My Favorite Murder: Murder After Rob and Akiva complete their power hour, they go through the mailbag to hear what new ideas should be added to the wheel and then spun the wheel to see what will be coming next week in episode 130. founder of three and a half podcasts. Please welcome in Akiva Winneker. What's going on, Rob? This was, I'm finally, I'm excited to have like finished listening to podcast forever. We are retired and now just doing podcast. You also mentioned podcast power hour. Is there supposed to be like a drinking element to this? Like a power hour. I think the idea was that we were going to talk about each show for five minutes. I think that that was sort of like... Do you have a drink on you? Can you finish a drink every five minutes that we... I mean, I have scalding hot tea. I don't know if I could do a shot. You have to chug the tea. All right, I'm going to get my Coke Zero and you're going to do a shot of tea. Okay. Okay. After every podcast. Okay, well, if I get burns in my mouth, I don't know if it's worth it. No, it is. It's Rob, like, you play hurt. This is, you, we listen to 12 shows. Like, some of these people do a lot of work for their podcast. We have, you know, there's, there's pain in art. That's what they say. Yeah. And, you know, we're going to have to make the, you know, we have to make some sacrifices. Okay. Just as a heads up, we'll give you the full list. But if you wanted to stop down and take a look at what shows we're going to listen to, we will provide that in our show notes. We have a link to all of the podcasts that we did, that will be in the show notes at
