Summary

This week brought more headaches for former Fox (Entertainment) "News" host turned Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth. Amidst whispers of chaos at the Pentagon, Pete ranted about the media on the White House lawn as attendees enjoyed a holiday dedicated to a risen savior by rolling expensive eggs and learning about corporate sponsorships. As more Federal agencies and jobs are dismantled, a whistleblower submitted a report on DOGE's concerning activity to remove sensitive data. Meanwhile, Harvard became the first major university to refuse to comply with administration demands, setting off a chaotic but amusing game of chicken. Senator Chris Van Hollen of Maryland made good on his promise to go to El Salvador and try to get Kilmar Abrego Garcia out of CECOT, speaking with him under supervision and with shameless efforts to sway the optics of their meeting. The judicial branch is still fighting back, with one judge moving forward to hold the administration in contempt for violating his order, and with the Supreme Court at a crossroads in the hell of their own making. Through it all, RFK Jr. continues to remind people why no one should listen to him - ever. Also, a bunch of women in skin tight bodysuits and glam went high up in the air in a rocket shaped like a penis and got upset when no one thought it was cool.

Welcome to the high and low podcast.

0:08.1

This is your host, Bravo, Bravo, Bravo, and this is roasting the brologarchy.

0:12.0

A weekly spin-off pod where I review the most horrifying and cringe-worthy news of the week.

0:17.0

I do it with a comedic take and with zero mercy for the idiot's responsible. There's cursing, there's venting. I am in no way a professional journalist. I read things. I tell you about them. And then I take the entire list of everything I read that week. I put it on the Patreon, so you can go read it yourself if you want to. Now that you've been warned, let's go. Her usual, there's so much to talk about. We're going to try to get

0:38.9

through it. We had Easter. A bunch of women went up in the Amazon Space Penis. The Pope passed away

0:44.3

after meeting Jady Bowman. More signal chain drama. Where to begin? Let's start with Easter.

0:48.8

A popular holiday for many who claimed to come together to celebrate the resurrection of an undocumented man,

0:57.0

a man who was seeking asylum from another land, a man who was dependent upon the kindness of

1:04.0

strangers, a man who was evading horrible men in power who wished him harm, a man who was cruelly denied all due process,

1:13.9

tortured, and then executed for crimes he didn't commit.

1:17.1

Some people celebrate that.

1:19.9

Other people just want to dress up and go to church and then eat some candy.

1:24.2

Put the Fox Entertainment Channel louder.

1:26.6

They're showing the Easter egg roll on the White House lawn. Oh, look, look. It's all sponsored by the big tech companies. Oh, that's so nice. There's a YouTube stage for performances. Oh, there's a meta-tent. The New York Stock Exchange is there. Oh, look, the Amazon people,

1:46.0

they have a tent. That's so nice. Jesus would have loved this. That's real, though. Don't think

1:51.2

that's a joke. That's real. That actually happened. For the first time, the tradition of the

1:55.1

Easter egg roll on the White House long was very branded, that there had been like sales pitches

2:00.4

going out saying, just for, you know, for this price price you can sponsor this event so meta of course put their knee pads on and they provided an AI powered experience and photo opportunity then amazon had a reading nook which is so thoughtful of them because they put a lot of bookshops out of business so let's make sure we order through barns and noble and then i read something this week that into a rage. Well, I read something every week that puts me into a rage, but we're two minutes in. I'm going on my first rant. I did not know that Google now owns YouTube. I miss that. I miss that memo. All right. I wasn't aware. I already ranted three days ago about Google. Why? Because I bought a Fitbit. I was like, you know what? I want to stay

2:37.3

healthy. I want to make sure I'm getting my steps in. I go to get one. Not so simple anymore. Why? Because Google bought Fitbit. So now when you go to operate your Fitbit, I was like, that's okay. I don't want my

2:49.0

data going to Google. I've got a long history with Fitbit. I used it years ago. I don't want

2:53.6

them having all that data. I'm just going to circumnavigate. You can't. You can't. They won't let you. Then I had to spend time going to make a whole dummy account so they don't really have me. They have an empty avatar vessel, but then still got their hooks in me.

3:09.9

Let me tell you how they did it.
